Hampton Inn and Suites at Shelton Vineyards, located in Dobson, North Carolina,
has been awarded the Success in Surry award by the Surry County Board of
Commissioners and the Surry County Economic Development Partnership.

The Success in Surry award was presented to recognize Hampton Inn and Suites
at Shelton Vineyards for receiving the 2008 Connie Award, presented annually by the
Hilton Hotel Corporation to a select number of its best hotels, both national and
international.

Hampton Inn and Suites at Shelton Vineyards opened to the public on April 16,
2007. It was established by Charlie and Ed Shelton as a companion facility to Shelton
Vineyards, the Harvest Grill at the Vineyards, and the planned Villages of Shelton
Vineyards.

The Vineyards, the Hampton Inn, and supporting restaurants and other facilities are fast becoming a major national and international tourism destination in the Yadkin Valley Wine Region.

The Success in Surry award is a recognition award for Surry County businesses
that have brought national and international attention to Surry County through excellent
services and notable accomplishments within their areas of endeavor.

After only two years’ operation, the Hampton Inn and Suites at Shelton Vineyards
has achieved the pinnacle of success within its industry.
