6/24/2009–Northern Hospital opens surgery center
After 18 months of construction the 58,000-square-foot expansion of the hospital was opened to the public for tours and questions. Hundreds of visitors came out to see the new surgical wing of Northern Hospital of Surry County Tuesday afternoon after a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The facility houses four operating rooms, a cystoscopy room, a nine-bed Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and a day-surgery area designed for patient comfort. Read more
