Willow Tex manufactures and distributes high-quality, synthetic leather that is sold to the contract design, marine and aviation markets. The company owns the trademark rights to IZIT Leather and the multiple product lines branded IZIT. These leather products are known for their durability, flammability performance, leather-like appearance and suppleness. Deborah Cochran, Mayor of Mount Airy said “The City of Mount Airy is very excited to announce that Willow-Tex will be purchasing the Harvest Bread Company facility and will be locating to the City of Mount Airy in 2013. This company will bring an investment of over $6 million dollars and provide at least 37 jobs over a period of time. It is great to close 2012 with such good news. The City, County and Surry Economic Development Partnership continue to work hard to help existing business and for the recruitment of new business and jobs for our citizens.
