LBA Haynes Strand, a North Carolina-based accounting firm, has acquired High Point’s SeeRisk Management Advisors.
Dave Recchion, president of SeeRisk Management, will join LBA Haynes Strand as a principal in its Greensboro office, joining Johnny Wood as the other LBA principal in that location.
Recchion has 30 years of experience in the business, working as a partner with Ernst & Young for 13 years and founding SeeRisk Management four years ago. Recchion's location at 1219 Sturbridge Ave. in High Point will close as he shifts to Greensboro.
The merger follows the creation of LBA Haynes Strand two years ago, when Matthews-based LB&A united with the Triad's Haynes Strand & Co.
John Bly, CEO of LBA Haynes Strand, said the acquisition of SeeRisk Management will expand the company’s offerings to include risk assessments, internal audit outsourcing, internal controls, process improvement and specialization in risk management strategy.
LBA Haynes Strand, with offices in Greensboro, Matthews and Mount Airy, is a full-service accounting firm with nine principals in total including Recchion. Each of its partners travel between offices, especially the three partners in Mount Airy – Sam Gentry, Jeff Gordon and Chris Bunting. The company has made Inc. 5000’s list of the nation’s fastest growing privately held companies for three consecutive years. LBA Haynes Strand was also named to its third consecutive Fast 50 list of fastest-growing companies by the Charlotte Business Journal.
According to Triad Business Journal research, LBA Haynes Strands ranked No. 13 among the Triad's largest accounting firms in February, employing 19 CPAs and 33 other staff members across its two Triad offices.
