An existing industry partner in Surry County has announced its choice to grow in Surry County. Best Choice Metal Structures is a metal building manufacturer that plans to develop a new manufacturing campus on Elkin Wildlife Road, just outside of Elkin, NC. This new $4,000,000 campus will provide office, manufacturing, and warehouse space for the company to double its production capabilities. Best Choice plans to hire an additional 30 employees over the next 3 years, doubling its current workforce.
The company is locally owned and operated, providing metal buildings, carports, barns, and commercial structures to customers across the Southeast. Owners, Hugo Lopez and Francisco Juarez, stated that “we look forward to the opportunity to continue driving growth within the Metal Building Industry, alongside forward-thinking organizations like the Surry County Economic Development and we remain committed to the importance of setting ambitious goals. Our focus will always be on delivering exceptional value to our customers, fostering innovation, and contributing to the growth of our local community.”
The Surry County Board of Commissioners approved on Monday, December 2nd, cash incentives for the expanding company, based on project performance. Surry County Board Chair, Mark Marion stated “It is always a pleasure to participate in a process where we work with an existing industry that desires to grow in our community. The metal building industry cluster in our county provides a significant impact to our local economy.”
Best Choice’s expansion further emphasizes Surry County’s concentration of metal building manufacturers, an industry with important local and regional impact.
