As the year drew to a close and winter settled across Surry County, our community continued to move forward with purpose—guided by collaboration, resilience, and a shared commitment to growth. November and December offered moments to reflect on progress made and the people powering it, from emerging leaders and students to business owners and long-standing partners.
We began the season by investing in connection and service through the Foothills Young Professionals Friendsgiving, where young leaders gathered to strengthen relationships while giving back to the community. That spirit of generosity and engagement carried forward as students across the county showcased creativity, teamwork, and innovation at the First Lego League competition, reminding us that the future of Surry County is bright and full of potential.
This season also brought milestones worth celebrating, including Cardinal CT Glass earning the Carolina Star distinction for workplace safety and excellence, welcoming new investors into the Surry EDP network, and meaningful conversations at our CEO Roundtable focused on the county’s future growth. Together, these moments reflected both momentum and opportunity as we prepare for the year ahead.
In this issue of The View From Surry, you’ll find highlights from a season defined by progress, partnership, and possibility. As we step into a new year, thank you for your continued support and belief in Surry County. Together, we’re building a stronger, more vibrant future, one connection at a time!
