Surry County EDP is excited to announce the hiring of Weatherly Reeves as our new Talent & Marketing Manager. As a part of the organization’s Reach the Summit campaign, this role will aim to help attract new residents to the community, assist workforce partners in career awareness programming, and market our community to new development interests.
After a thorough hiring process, Ms. Reeves stood out as an exceptionally qualified candidate who displayed a deep understanding of the science of marketing, the art of design, and the importance of our message.
Ms. Reeves is a recent Honors graduate of NC State University in the College of Design, graduating with a Bachelor of Design Studies and a Minor in Arts Entrepreneurship. She is also a graduate of North Surry High School and previously completed an internship at Surry County EDP.
Ms. Reeves relayed her excitement for the position by saying “I am honored to join Surry County EDP as the new Talent & Marketing Manager. Having grown up in Surry County, I have a deep appreciation for this community and a love of its unique story. I look forward to using my background in design and marketing to share that story with the world and showcase everything that makes Surry County a beautiful place to live, work, and thrive.”
